Tailored to assist our LTC customers and other residential facilities in the Richmond area, our 32-hour course aligns with Virginia’s requirements for essential training of non-licensed individuals tasked with administering medications in group homes (DBHDS license), adult day care centers, or residential children’s homes, as outlined in the Code of Virginia §54.1-3408.

Subcutaneous Injection Training
The purpose of this course is to prepare medication aids who have successfully completed the 32 hour medication management course to administer subcutaneous injections (vials, pens, and auto-injectors) in addition to insulin. This course provides a general overview only of using these products. You will need to review the instructions that came with your medication for specific usage, storage, and disposal instructions.
